Guagua, Pampanga

A quick side trip to Guagua Public Market.

The public market is quite now since it is already late.

These are not ice candies. These are buro. There are two versions present in the photo: shrimp and fish. I believe the presence of buro makes the Kapampangan wet markets distinct.

Inuyat. This is molasses. Similar to Baguio's sundo't kulangot. The vendor told me that kids love this.

Dayap is present in the market. Very important to Kapampangan cuisine since it is one of the ingredients for Tibuk-tibuk.

A little bit walk from the public market. Guagua's version of halo-halo, simple but delicious. Consist of macapuno, sweetened plantain, milk, ice, and leche flan. This kind of halo-halo already dominated the malls in Metro Manila by Razon's.
